Know all about AP EAMCET including Eligibility & Selection Process



AP EAMCET or Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test are an entrance examination held for admissions into various undergraduate professional courses offered at universities and colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates must qualify the AP EAMCET in order to get admission into private and government colleges. The total number of seats offered by EAMCET is 153150.  

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada has released the eligibility criteria of AP EAMCET 2019 for candidates appearing in the exam. Please note that candidates not fulfilling the prescribed criteria can have their applications form rejected. The application for 2019 however, has been closed.

Application Procedure:

      An application fee of Rupees 500/- is charged which can be paid online through debit/credit cards or at AP Online Centers. After checking the payment status, you are required to fill in the application form.
       The application form includes filling up personal details, choice of courses, details of qualifying examinations, local area status etc.
       
      After filling up the form, all candidates need to print a hard copy of it.
       Next the candidate needs to upload his/her photograph not exceeding 30 KB in jpg file format.
       The signature of the candidate also needs to be uploaded in jpg file format not exceeding 15 KB.

Now, let us discuss what eligibility criteria are required for applying for the AP EAMCET:

1.   All candidates applying for AP EAMCET must be of Indian nationality. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders are also eligible for admissions through AP EAMCET 2019.
2.       
    Candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh must satisfy the local/no-local status requirements as per their state.
3.       
       All candidates must be above 16 years of age.
4.      
      All candidates should have qualified the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 or equivalent) as conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as an optional or any related vocational courses in the field of Engineering.
5.      
      All candidates must secure an aggregate mark of 45% and above. 

AP EAMCET cut off:

Cutoff of AP EAMCET helps to shortlist candidates to proceed towards the counselling rounds. The AP EAMCET cutoff is decided on factors such as difficulty level of the exam, cut off trends of previous year, availability of seats and total examinees. If any student fails to secure the AP EAMCET cut off, then he/she will be disqualified. Cut off marks are published along with the declaration of the result. The AP EAMCET cutoff will be published for every category and course and, therefore, the candidates should check the same as per their category and preference for the course.

The selection procedure for this exam is done after AP EAMCET results are declared by JNTU. This process is usually called the AP EAMCET counselling. Students are counseled as per the ranks obtained in the examination. The students are ranked in order of merit.

Before you can appear for AP EAMCET counselling, there is a verification process that all candidates must go through; the certificate verification process which is done by the authorities at the Help Center. Usually, a process fee is required. Various details like sex, Minority, category, Special Reservation category, date of birth, Mobile Number, Eligibility etc. are verified.
